Skagway’s Annual TBMP Hospitality Excellence Award Nominations Form

Skagway's Tourism Best Management Practices (TBMP) Annual Hospitality Excellence Award is a prestigious honor that celebrates businesses within the TBMP community who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to sustainable tourism practices and outstanding hospitality.

ELIGIBILITY

• This award is exclusively open to TBMP members, ensuring that recipients have actively participated in promoting responsible tourism and adhering to the highest standards of environmental stewardship.

VOTERS

• As a TBMP member, you have the privilege to cast your vote for the business that you believe deserves this esteemed recognition. Each member is entitled to two votes per year, allowing you to have a direct impact on the outcome of this award.

• When submitting your vote, it is essential to provide a descriptive paragraph explaining why you feel the business you voted for deserves to win. This paragraph should highlight the exceptional qualities and practices that set them apart from others in the industry.

CONTEST RULES

• Nominations will be accepted from October 1st through November 15th.

• In the event of a tie, past winners will be excluded from consideration and/or tie breaker will be determined by drawing the winner from a hat.

• Winners will be announced during Yuletide in December.

WINNER RECOGNITION

• The winner of the TBMP Annual Hospitality Award will receive special recognition across various platforms.

o The winner will be honored with a “made in Skagway” trophy to display proudly at their place of business for all visitors to see.

o They will be featured prominently on dedicated Skagway Visitor Department social media posts, showcasing their commitment to sustainable tourism and exceptional hospitality.

o They will be acknowledged officially on Skagway.com ensuring that their achievements reach a wide audience.

o The business will also be recognized on the TBMP website SkagwayTBMP.com, further solidifying their status as a leader in responsible tourism practices.

o The Skagway Visitor Department will submit a press release detailing the specifics of the award to regional news outlets.
